Individual
Industry solutions

WELTEC BIOPOWER offers industry-specific solutions for various requirement profiles in the biogas sector and develops specialized plant concepts ranging from industry and waste management to municipalities and agriculture to investment projects. Select your industry and find out more about suitable solutions, substrates and technical options.

Industry
BIOGAS from industrial Waste

Industrial production processes generate valuable energy sources: organic waste such asfood waste, brewery waste or slurry. WELTEC is planning biogas plants thatconvert these waste materials into energy through anaerobic digestion.Industrial companies benefit from lower disposal costs, reduced energy costsand an improved CO₂ balance. With systems that are designed for maximumefficiency, durability and reliability.

Waste management
Energy from organic waste

The volumeof waste generated worldwide is abundant. Different industries producedifferent waste materials — from production waste to food waste and organicwaste. Regardless of whether the organic material comes from municipal orprivate sources, they have enormous energy potential. WELTEC BIOPOWER developsdurable plants that transform these resources into valuable biogas.

Farming
ENERGY SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Agricultural businesses have ideal conditions for biogas production. Manure, manure and renewable raw materials such as corn or grass can be efficiently converted into renewable energy. WELTEC has been developing biogas plants for farms for over 25 years. The result: energy self-sufficiency, additional income and sustainably closed nutrient cycles.

Wastewater Management
SEWAGE SLUDGE TURNS INTO ENERGY

The sewage sludge produced during wastewater treatment contains valuable organic matter —and therefore enormous energy potential. WELTEC BIOPOWER develops tailor-made fermentation solutions for municipal sewage treatment plants and industrial wastewater plants: digestion tower optimization, co-fermentation with external substrates or complete sewage gas plants. The goal: lower operating costs, lower emissions and greater energy independence.

Our answers

The most important questions and answers at a glance. We will be happy to answer any further questions you may have at any time.

Which substrates can be digested in a biogas plant?

WELTEC plants are designed to process a wide variety of organic waste materials: from municipal biowaste, food scraps, and food waste to industrial byproducts such as distiller's grains, as well as agricultural substrates like manure, slurry, and energy crops. With experience from over 400 different substrates worldwide, each project is individually tailored to the available substrates and their specifications.

How efficient is a biogas plant?

Economic efficiency depends on several factors: substrate availability, plant size, gas utilization (electricity, heat, biomethane) and regional conditions. If required, WELTEC BIOPOWER will prepare a detailed profitability calculation and assist you with funding applications. Many investments pay for themselves within a few years.

How long does it take to build a biogas plant?

It usually takes 12 to 24 months from planning to commissioning — depending on project size, approval process and individual requirements. WELTEC BIOPOWER takes care of the entire project management: from approval to construction to training of your operating personnel.

What happens to the digestion residues after fermentation?

The fermentation residues are rich in nutrients and ideal as organic fertiliser in agriculture. They contain valuable nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and can replace chemical fertilizers. This is how the nutrient cycle is closed sustainably.

Does WELTEC BIOPOWER also offer service and maintenance after commissioning?

Yes, WELTEC will also support you in the long term: We offer comprehensive service contracts, technical and biological support, spare parts supply and remote monitoring of your plant. Our goal is trouble-free, economical operation — worldwide.

Can existing systems be retrofitted or optimised?

Absolutely. WELTEC BIOPOWER analyses existing plants and develops concepts for increasing performance, expanding substrates or optimising gas utilization. Modernization of outdated technology is also part of our range of services.
