German Foreign Trade Award 2018

In April 2018, WELTEC qualified for the second place in the ranking of the German Foreign Trade Award in the small and medium-sized segment. Specifying the reasons for the bestowal of the award, the jury pointed out that WELTEC BIOPOWER started engaging in foreign trade as early as a year after its foundation in 2001. Today, more than 350 WELTEC plants exist in 25 countries on five continents.

AD & Biogas Industry Award 2017

In July 2017, WELTEC received the renowned AD & Biogas Industry Award in two categories from the British anaerobic digestion association ADBA. An independent expert jury nominated the German biogas plant manufacturer in the category „Best international agricultural project“ in recognition of its 800-kW plant in Colombia. The award “Best international commercial plant” was given to WELTEC BIOPOWER for its 1-megawatt-plant in Melbourne, Australia.

Lower Saxony Foreign Trade Award

The Lower Saxony Foreign Trade Award, which was awarded for the eighth time in 2017 by the Minister of Economic Affairs, Olaf Lies, WELTEC was among the Top 5. The so-called "Export Oscar of the North", Lower Saxony companies awards companies, that have delivered outstanding performance in the international competition.

Biogas Innovation Award

In 2015, WELTEC BIOPOWER has received the “biogas innovation prize of the German agriculture” for its management system ProMOS Bio. With the software, operators can record, control and report their operating data.

The award in the business category recognizes particularly innovative technologies. Sponsors are the German Farmers' Association, the German Biogas Association and the Association of Bioenergy.

Industry Award

In April 2015, the management and organization software ProMOS Bio received the title "Best of 2015" of the Industry Award from the Huber Verlag für Neue Medien GmbH.

A jury consisting of a total of 30 professors and journalists ennobled the WELTEC system with this award. The reason: "The product creates high economic, social, technological and environmental benefits."

Northern Ireland Impact Award

In June 2013, the WELTEC customer Ballyrashane won the Northern Ireland Impact Award in the category "Environmental Improvement".

Six organizations including the Royal Mail were shortlisted, but Ballyrashane convinced the jury the most. With the award, the annual saving of 3,500 tons of CO2 and thereby reduced environmental impact was rewarded. There plant is operated with renewable materials and dairy waste

Organics Recycling Award

The UK Organics Recycling Group (REA) awarded the English WELTEC biogas plant of Eco Sustainable Solutions Ltd. in Piddlehinton (Dorset) with the Organics Recycling Award 2013.

The plant, which is fed with food waste and leftovers from regional institutions, convinced with an exemplary energy usage and the best overall concept.

Baltic Manure Handling Award

This award recognizes companies and technologies which increase the use of manure in a sustainable way.

The MULTIMix, the liquid input system by WELTEC BIOPOWER, was awarded in August 2013 in Helsinki with the Baltic Manure Handling Award because with this technology it is finally possible to feed biogas plants with a large amount of fibrous input material, like solid manure.

ADBA Award

WELTEC BIOPOWER client Fernbrook Bio won the 2012 UK AD & Biogas Associations (ADBA) industry award for “Best Biogas Project”. The 1.5 MW biogas plant impressed the jurors with its efficient operation and overall concept, which provides for use of a biogas facility as a waste utilisation plant.

DLG

The distinction with the certification "DLG focus test" confirms the excellent results of WELTEC plants regarding degradation rate and biogas yield.

The German Agricultural Association (DLG) regularly test product developments and innovations with the help of modern measurement technology and application-oriented test methods.
